Claiming your EPT or ELM Exemption
If you have met one or more of the exemptions, and you have had your test scores reported to Cal Poly, the exemption is automatic. You need do nothing more. If you are not sure whether or not you've reported your test scores to Cal Poly, submit your proof of exemption as explained below:
If you qualify for one of the exemptions from the EPT:
Return the EPT Exemption Form and a verification (copy of the score report) to the Writing Skills Program, Cal Poly, 1 Grand Avenue, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407.
If you qualify for one of the exemptions from the ELM:
Return the ELM Exemption Form and a verification (copy of the score report) to the Entry Level Math Office, Cal Poly, 1 Grand Avenue, San Luis Obispo, CA 93407.
If you have completed an equivalent course:
Be sure your transcripts are forwarded to the Cal Poly Evaluations Office.
